About Ari Pietarinen

Las Vegas, 1996

My buddies had stomach flu and they crashed in motel feeling too tired. I just could not stay in, so I left to night of Vegas with few hundred bucks in my pocket. That night changed forever how I perceive and relate to money and made me consider gambling as a profession.

I’ll be back!

After coming back to Finland and doing few weeks research to gambling world, I came to simple conclusion: “I do not have self discipline to be professional gambler… yet.”

I quitted my studies, supported myself working with various computer jobs and learned profession as web developer. Lived in Isreal for some time and slowly started to find some sort of character from myself.

Driven

I haven’t been natural in anything that I have started. I made success only with the inner drive and hard work. Both qualities emerge only when I am whole, doing what I am supposed to do.

Slow learning curve

So, slowly I started to learn my lessons – and still learning and developing. Poker offers plenty of ups and downs that trigger merciless adaptation mechanisms and even I might not always like swings of luck, I generally do love poker.
